Preparation - Getting
Everything You Need

1 Box Lasagna
Noodles
-
4 - 35oz Cans
of Italian Tomatoes
-
2 - 18 oz Cans
of Tomato Paste
-
3 LB Ricotta
Cheese
-
1 LB
Mozzarella Cheese (cut into small cubes)
-
3 lbs. Chopped
Meat
-
2 lbs. Italian
Sausage (mix Hot and Sweet to suit taste)
-
Bread crumbs
and eggs (for the chopped meat)
-
5 Cloves of
Garlic - diced
-
1 Small Onion
- diced
-
Assorted
Spices (oregano, basil, paprika, salt, etc.)

1 Cup of Red
Wine
-
Olive Oil
-
Lasagna tray ,
sauce pot, noodle pot, frying pan.
Making the Sauce - The Key to Success
-
Combine
chopped meat with bread crumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, and spices as
if making meatballs and brown it in the oven.
OR

Brown your chopped meat in a frying pan and add to it later.

Cover the
bottom of the sauce pot with olive oil then add sausage.

Put on the
stove - Medium flame / heat setting. Add garlic & onion.

Puree the
Italian Tomatoes and Tomato Paste and add to the pot.

Add Red Wine,
onion, garlic, and other spices as needed.

Add meatballs
/ browned chopped meat when they are done.

Let it cook
for 3 hours - Stir Frequently.

Add onion /
garlic / spices / wine to suit your taste.
Putting it All
Together
-
Fill the
noodle pot 3/4 with water (salt added) add let it boil.

Add lasagna
noodles individually to pot. Cook for 10 minutes.

Remove cooked
noodles, rinse with cold water, lay on wax paper.

Cover the
bottom of the lasagna tray generously with sauce.

Add a layer of
lasagna noodles and cover with sauce.

Cut meatballs
and sausage into cubes and cover sauce / noodles.

Add cubed
mozzarella cheese and spoon in some ricotta cheese.
-
Add some sauce
and another layer of noodles, cover with sauce.

Combine meats
and cheeses to form another layer. Cover in sauce
-
Add the top
layer of noodles and cover with sauce.
-
Cover with
aluminum foil and heat for 45 minutes at 325 degrees
-
Get a good
bottle of wine and some garlic bread and ENJOY!!!
